The Min-Emad dampening system is the newest addition to the award winning, EMAD bass drum system from Evans Drumheads. It is an Externally Mounted Adjustable Dampening system, which provide minimal intrusion to the head surface while offering a wide range dampening possibilities.

A simple dampening device based on solid acoustical principles, the Min-Emad consists of a fabric "bridge" that links the resonant head with the relatively inert, metal counter hoop. Rather than indiscriminately smothering vibrations with clumsy and unsightly tape, cloth, or putty, the trim and unobtrusive Min-Emad removes unwanted frequencies, while retaining dynamic range, desired attack, resonance, and feel.
